You have the option of two set tours, or we can alter them for you.
Dunedin City Sites Tour: tour numbers (CS1) and (CS2)
A full commentary and local knowledge provided.
The tour leaves Port Chalmers at 9.30 am and arrives in Dunedin at 10.0 am, pick up again at 11 am , then up Stuart St to Otago Boys High and old catholic church, then to Baldwin street (the steepest residential street in the world) , we then travel to the railway station via the university and the new multi purpose stadium, we stop for photos etc, we then travel past the old edwardian buildings to highcliff road rotary park ,through farm land and views and 2 of our popular beaches and return past the back of the Railway station and the industrial area to Anzac ave then back to Port Chalmers, this is tour (number CS1) If you want to spend more time in the city after the tour you can take a railcar trip x railway station , with a drop off a port, or the driver will show you where to catch the city bus back to port
The next tour leaves Port Chalmers 10.30 am drop off at the Octagon , pick up at 2 pm and the tour is the same as above back to Port Chalmers 4 pm.
The tour is approx. 2 hours, this is tour number (CS2)
The tour leaves Port Chalmers at 9.30 am first tour and 10.30 am second tour or when tour bus is full.
Cost is per person.up to 20 people. This tour works out cheep as you save up to $20 PP by not using the shuttle.
Larnach Castle Tour: ( available on cruise ship days) up to 6 people must be pre booked.
Includes a 2 hour city tour and up to 1 hour at the castle
You will visit the castle and see the wonderful gardens of this lovely old castle, meals available at your cost, tour time is 4 hours.
$65.00 Cost is per person, not including entry fees to the grounds and the castle. ( from isite Dunedin $55.00 per person )
Port Chalmers, Iona Church, Carey`s bay hotel and fishing wharf and boat builders shed.
Round the back beach with views of Quarantine island, Portobello aquarium, round to Sawyers Bay and Up the old road for photos of the Macandrew Bay and Portobello side.
Over the hill to Baldwin St and then Up Signal hill road to the Centenial Monument and area.
Through Loveloch Ave to a run round the University area and stop and look at the new Stadium.
Then on to the Railway station, stop and look at the inside and photos of the gardens.
Then a loop past the Early settlers museum and the Chinese gardens and past the Speights Brewery, and the main old churches, Otago girls high.
Down View St to the Octagon for photos, up to Olveston,a walk through the grounds. then up to the Stuart St bridge for photos, then down to Cadburys for a tour.( tour must be booked at isite (information centre)
Total Tour Time = 3 hours , this is tour number (1) and is only available pre booked, on cruise ship days ( must have 6 people minimum)
as only an 8 seater or a 6 seater vehicle is available.
Max 8 people total - plus entry costs
Through Port Chalmers,, Iona Church photos, and on to SH1, through Sawyers Bay and over the old road (photo stops) to North East Valley, Baldwin Street .
Then we go past the Gardens, (can stop for 15 mins)then down Cumberland St to the University and student areas , then past the Polytech buildings.
past hockey and cricket facilities to Stadium. From there we go to the railway station and a short trip round town and then onto Larnach Castle (there is a charge to enter) for Aprox 1 Hr, then to Portobello, can stop for toilet or a snack ,from there we go to the otakau marae (photos) then to Royal Albatross Centre ( there is a charge for a tour about an hour).
Back to Dunedin (can be for shopping or whatever ) .

Min 6 people Max 8 people total - plus entry costs or on charter at a set price per vehicle.
Moeraki option up to 5 hours
Departs from Port chalmers or Dunedin Visitor Centre in the Octagon, heads north on sh1 to Karitanes old fishing port and views.
Then to Waikouaiti with views of the safest beach in the Otago area also was the 1st whale station set up by Johnny Jones in the early 1800s from there to Palmerston and a comfort stop and a look about.
Then on to Shag Point where there is some seal activity (Most days) this area had a coal mine which was under the sea and supplied manufacturers in the Oamaru area, good sea views.
Then on to Moeraki to see the Boulders, 1 hour, Lunch can be at Moeraki Boulders, (not included in the tour cost), then back to the starting point,via Blueskin road and the monument and photo opportunities
